Summary

Under indirect supervision, provides high-level, strategic professional consulting services in the establishment, enhancement, and/or modification of integrated core operations and processes within a specialized area of high-demand technical expertise, such as engineering or computer sciences. Works on an on-call or professional services basis in support of a specified project.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provides specialized consulting services to management within a given area of professional expertise, as specified under a specific contract or working agreement.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related Technical field; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Advanced, in-depth knowledge and working expertise in a technical professional field, as specified in the contract or working agreement.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • Work may, on occasion, involve exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
  • No or very limited physical effort required.
  • Work may involve some exposure to operating circumstances that require following standard or prescribed safety precautions.
