Summary

Directs the integrated administrative and operational activities of the University's ticketing services for all athletic and/or public events held within University facilities and/or sponsored by the University. Plans, oversees, and coordinates events and negotiates agreements with University departments and external agencies. Monitors financial performance and seeks additional sources for generating revenue.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Oversees all facets of the daily operations of the organizational unit, ensuring compliance with the University, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations.
  2. Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organization's goals and objectives; oversees recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of unit staff.
  3. Establishes and implements short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
  4. Provides leadership in contract negotiations and marketing activities; monitors all contractual agreements between the department and outside agencies.
  5. Plans, develops, and implements strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the organization.
  6. Develops and manages annual budgets for the organization and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses.
  7. Oversees and coordinates a wide variety of entertainment/recreational, sporting, academic, and/or other events; performs event planning and programming, negotiation and/or administration of contracts and/or written agreements, logistics coordination, and site management, as appropriate.
  8. Interacts and works with other University departments and external agencies to determine ticketing needs and to develop and maintain maximum operational effectiveness and responsiveness to needs.
  9. Oversees the design, development, implementation and maintenance of department resources, including forms, documents, websites, technologies and software.
  10. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Conditions of Employment

  • Compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required in this position.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
