Serves as official recorder for intercollegiate sporting events, in accordance with NCAA scoring regulations, procedures, and standards. Typicall works on an on-call basis at specified sporting events.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintains complete and accurate records of all scoring, penalties, time-outs, and related game action occuring during game.
  2. Enters all records into NCAA Scorebook, in strict accordance with pre-established regulations, procedures, and standards.
  3. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; no previous experience required.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Ability to understand and follow NCAA game scoring regulations, procedures, and standards.
  • Records maintenance skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • No or very limited physical effort required.
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
  • Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
