Summary

Under general supervision, coordinates a centralized university post-graduation recruitment/placement program. Schedules and facilitates external employer recruitment visits, and serves as liaison between employer representatives and university faculty and students on all issues and problems associated with employer recruitment visits. Establishes and maintains communication with national/international employer representatives, and promotes on-campus visits for the purpose of interviewing and hiring university graduates.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinates the establishment and scheduling of recruitment visits by local, regional, national, and/or international employer representatives.
  2. Facilitates and coordinates all recruitment visits by employer representatives, providing information and assistance and identifying and resolving problems and issues, as they arise.
  3. Handles all promotional and public relations activities associated with on-campus visits, to include publicity and advertising, informational meetings with students, faculty luncheons and meetings, and other appropriate special events.
  4. Facilitates and serves as primary liaison with employer representatives in the preparation for and implementation of recruitment visits; develops a variety of individual activities to meet the needs of recruiters, and identifies and resolves problems, issues, and concerns as they arise.
  5. Pursues, develops, and maintains relationships through communication with local, national, and/or international employers to promote on-campus recruitment visits.
  6. Oversees the maintenance of associated databases, and coordinates database searches as requested; collects and analyzes data and prepares various routine and ad-hoc reports, as appropriate; maintains program records and statistical information.
  7. Participates in the development and refinement of operating policies and procedures; recommends and implements appropriate revisions and innovations.
  8. Supervises and trains staff and/or students engaged in support activities, as appropriate.
  9. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Knowledge of post-graduate recruitment/placement principles and procedures.

  • Knowledge of laws and regulations, as applicable to the employment recruitment and placement of new graduates.

  • Ability to provide accurate and efficient service under the stress of constant deadlines.

  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to lead and train staff and/or students.
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events.
  • Ability to design and write promotional material.
  • Knowledge of the practices, procedures, and requirements of private and public sector recruiters.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • No or very limited physical effort required.
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
