The following statements are intended to describe, in broad terms, the general functions and responsibility levels characteristic of positions assigned to this classification. Under the supervision of the Director, Intercollegiate Athletics, serves as an essential member of the athletics department executive management team. Develops, plans, and leads departmental implementation of student-athlete welfare, compliance, and academic activities, including NCAA and Mountain West Conference compliance and Federal Title IX compliance. Represents the University as the designated Senior Woman Administrator in Conference and NCAA matters. Serves as an expert and representative for external organizations, to include fundraising and partnership building. Provides professional leadership as well as day-to-day administrative and functional management of program activities and staff. Sets strategic direction and develops and implements related policies and procedures; establishes funding, and provides operational planning, budgeting, and assessment. Provides select, sport-specific oversight responsibilities.
