Summary

Provides strategic leadership and direction to the University in all facets of the establishment of institutional initiatives related to student enrollment management. Directs the management of the various component activities of the Enrollment Management function, ensuring that all programs and initiatives are integrated and effective in supporting the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the institution. Directly participates in institutional planning and decision making as a member of the Provost's Executive Cabinet.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Establishes and implements a strategic, comprehensive enrollment plan for the University and its various related components, to include Admissions, Office of the Registrar, and Student Financial Aid.
  2. Directs and oversees the development of recruiting strategies and enrollment programs to enhance student-institution fit and successful student transition to the University.
  3. Directs and oversees the establishment, development, and enhancement of divisional operations and services to internal and external constituencies.
  4. Represents and promotes divisional programs, services, and initiatives to internal and external constituencies and the general public, as appropriate.
  5. Reports directly to the Provost & Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs on strategic and system-wide issues, as well as on normal operational matters.
  6. Plans, develops, and implements strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the organization.
  7. Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organization's goals and objectives; oversees recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of unit staff.
  8. Establishes and implements short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
  9. Develops and manages annual budgets for the organization and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses.
  10. Participates in the review, development, and establishment of general University policies and procedures as a member of the President's Executive Cabinet.
  11. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Master's degree; at least 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Employees in this job title are subject to the terms and conditions of an employment contract. Employment contracts are typically subject to review and renewal on an annual basis.
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • Must obtain a Citified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) or equivalent certification within 12 months of date of hire.
