The following statements are intended to describe, in broad terms, the general functions and responsibility levels characteristic of positions assigned to this classification. They should not be viewed as an exhaustive list of the specific duties and prerequisites applicable to individual positions that have been so classified.
Provides strategic direction, consultation, and support to the university community in addressing in an integrated way the education needs, prospects, and related concerns of women's needs within the region. Provides leadership to university departments, as well as government and community agencies and organizations, in the development and implementation and administration of programs designed to improve retention and graduation rates of women students. Directs a variety of programs and initiatives associated with women's student services. Provides leadership consultation and coordination to university constituents in their various interactions within services to target the women's community. Provides leadership, consultation, and coordination to university constituencies in their various interactions with and services to women and represents both the University and the constituency externally at local, state, national, and international levels, as appropriate.
