The following statements are intended to describe, in broad terms, the general functions and responsibility levels characteristic of positions assigned to this classification. They should not be viewed as an exhaustive list of the specific duties and prerequisites applicable to individual positions that have been so classified.
Directs and administers all aspects of the career services office to include management of staff, budget, and day-to-day administration. Assist all students, faculty, staff, and employers in the development of career education, career identification, career decision-making, and the pursuit of employment opportunities. Oversees the clinical supervision of career counselors. Provides short- and long-range program planning and marketing of services. Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates career services programs to prepare students for internship and employment opportunities. Develops and collaborates with UNM colleges/schools, departments, community partners, and global and national employers/recruiters.
