Summary

Provides professional planning, coordination, and development for an academic school/college's assessment programs and initiatives, in support of school/college-level accreditation goals and objectives. Continually monitors progress toward defined objectives by collecting and analyzing data and communicating with faculty, staff, and other constituents. Interfaces with technical personnel, academic administrators, external accrediting bodies, and other partners to ensure accurate compilation, retention, and submission of data.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Plans, develops, coordinates and implements assessment, accreditation, and academic program review activities across a school/college; continually monitors progress toward identified goals and objectives in an effort to support continual accreditation of the school/college.
  2. Collects, compiles and analyzes data related to faculty qualifications, curriculum standards, enrollment, and other academic activities for the purposes of accreditation, academic program reviews, self-studies, school/college-level decision-making, and other related activities.
  3. Serves as the primary point-of-contact for internal and external constituencies as it relates to school/college data; directly liaises with accrediting bodies and compiles reports and information for dissemination to University administrators and core offices.
  4. Develops, implements and evaluates methods for collecting and analyzing data; collaborates with technical personnel and/or directly manages technical platforms for collecting, maintaining and reporting data.
  5. Provides technical and professional guidance, consultation and support to faculty, staff, school/college administrators, and other related personnel as it pertains to the school/college's progress toward accreditation, collection of data, and other related activities.
  6. Interprets assessment findings; analyzes and compiles comprehensive statistical and narrative data; assists with the preparation of official assessment reports to summarize findings.
  7. Plans, develops, and implements various special projects as assigned; plans, coordinates, promotes and facilitates special events, programs, and/or activities.
  8. Reviews and ensures accurate completion and timely submission of governmental, University, and other reports as required, with respect to assigned areas of responsibilities.
  9. Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
  10. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Knowledge of assessment methodologies, practices, and principles.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups.
  • Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement management principles and practices.
  • Advanced research, analytical, critical thinking, and report writing skills.
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and prepare and present reports effectively.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training materials to faculty and staff within area of professional specialty.
  • Database management skills.

Conditions of Employment

  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
  • No or very limited physical effort required.
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
