Summary
In support of the University's enrollment, retention and graduation goals, provides direct support to students as it relates to eligibility to programs regulated by federal, state and/or other applicable governing bodies that substantially impact the University's liability and/or access to funding sources. Partners with academic advisement personnel, faculty, and other University constituents to resolve issues related to course completion, billing, academic progress, program eligibility and all other matters applicable to the regulatory area. Analyzes and monitors student activity, compiles reports, and communicates directly with government agencies and/or compliance administrators.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provides highly specialized consultation, guidance, and advisement to students impacted by specific regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing eligibility and compliance with federal, state, University and other applicable rules, standards and guidelines.
Researches and analyzes information as necessary and responds to applicant and/or student concerns regarding admissions, financial aid, records, and/or registration matters.
Monitors student progress in relation to program requirements, and corresponds with students regarding problems and deficiencies.
Collaborates and liaises with internal University departments and external agencies to monitor, evaluate, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations outlined by applicable regulating bodies; may generate billing, process records, confirm eligibility requirements and/or compile reports in relation to such activities.
Maintains databases, researches information, compiles statistics, and gathers and computes various data as required; prepares special reports, summaries, and/or replies to inquiries.
Maintains confidentiality of university and student records.
May present and deliver programs, presentations, and workshops that enrich the academic experience and promote outreach and retention efforts for students within a defined population; may present at professional forums regarding best practices in the area of expertise.
May represent the organization at various community and/or business meetings, committees, and task forces; promotes existing and new programs and/or policies.
Serves as Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Knowledge of the broad spectrum of available university academic units, curricula, and programs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA regulations and school policies, and other State and Federal laws.
Ability to evaluate student transcripts and/or records.
Knowledge of the rules, regulations, and laws regarding student records.
Knowledge of NCAA student-athlete academic eligibility requirements (if applicable).
Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
