The following statements are intended to describe, in broad terms, the general functions and responsibility levels characteristic of positions assigned to this classification. They should not be viewed as an exhaustive list of the specific duties and prerequisites applicable to individual positions that have been so classified.
Directs, integrates, and coordinates the planning, design, construction, and/or modification of the physical facilities, facilities infrastructure, and real property associated with operating the university's Main Campus, Health Sciences Center, branch campuses, and other regional sites. Directs and oversees individual operating groups involved in major facilities project management, construction management, and/or facilities planning and design. Oversees and monitors the university's facilities capital expenditures and represents the university in all planning, design, and construction matters. Advises administration on all institutional policies and procedures related to the management of facilities planning, design, and construction. Establishes and maintains an integrated, long-term approach to design excellence and institutional identity across all campus locations.
