The following statements are intended to describe, in broad terms, the general functions and responsibility levels characteristic of positions assigned to this classification. Directs and oversees faculty recruitment and contracting functions for the Health Sciences Center (HSC), including regular faculty, Temporary Part-Time (TPT) faculty, VA hires, LAT's, volunteer faculty, and post docs. Provides administrative direction and oversight of faculty affairs for the College of Nursing and College of Pharmacy. Ensures that Health Science Center faculty letters of offers and contracts follow HSC, University, Federal, State and local policies and guidelines. Develops and implements faculty human resource procedures for the Health Sciences Center, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, University, and other relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards. Directs and administers HSC Faculty Incentive Based Compensation Initiative (FIBCI) programs and provides orientation and information to faculty members with respect to available University benefits. Directs and coordinates HSC faculty employment data center (EDC) operations. Reports to the HSC Vice President for Academic Affairs.
