Summary
Within the Division of Human Resources, leads large-scale organizational change efforts, with a strong focus on enhancing both individual and organizational performance University-wide. Provides subject matter expertise and consultation to leadership and teams on organizational effectiveness and development initiatives, with a significant emphasis on employee engagement strategies. This position requires close collaboration with leaders and team members across the University, HR leadership, and HR business partners for assigned client groups, aiming to foster a culture of engagement, productivity, and inclusiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborates with and provides consultation to institutional and departmental leadership to enhance organizational effectiveness, focusing on strategies to improve employee engagement and workplace culture.
Conducts comprehensive needs assessments and provides diagnosis and process analysis to identify and customize individual and/or group trainings for employees University-wide, with an emphasis on initiatives that boost engagement and morale.
Provides organizational development consultations including the design, development, coordination, and facilitation of organizational effectiveness activities, such as strategic planning, change management planning, team building, process consultation, retreats, and employee coaching, all aimed at enhancing employee engagement.
Plans, designs, develops, and delivers engaging individual and/or group training and instructional programs, employing a variety of methods such as instructor-led, electronic/web-based, and/or multimedia training methods and formats to foster a more engaged and connected workforce.
Serves as a project leader for large-scale organization development and leadership development initiatives, ensuring projects prioritize employee engagement and contribute to a positive organizational culture.
Participates in the sourcing, selection, and evaluation of contracted instructors and consultants, as appropriate.
Evaluates the effectiveness of training and development programs and utilizes relevant evaluation data to review or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods with a focus on improving engagement outcomes.
Researches and analyzes organizational development best practices and benchmark studies in related areas.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Experience with eAuthoring tools and social media to drive engagement and sustainability, such as or including Articulate, Captivate, Adobe Suite.
Knowledge of organizational development theory and practices.
Ability to understand and interpret educational needs and to develop effective instructional media solutions.
Ability to design, develop, implement, and evaluate training plans, curricula, and methodology.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups.
Knowledge of adult learning theory and methodologies.
Distinguishing Characteristics
Position requires: a) consultation, development, and delivery of complex University-wide organizational development programming; b) provision of subject matter expertise and thought leadership to institutional and departmental leadership; c) leadership on large-scale projects with broad impact.
Conditions of Employment
Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Moderate physical activity; requires handling of average-weight objects and standing or walking for extended periods of time.
