The following statements are intended to describe, in broad terms, the general functions and responsibility levels characteristic of positions assigned to this classification. Directs the integrated pre-award contracts and grants function for the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center or Main Campus/branch campuses. Provides high-level direction, leadership, and consultation to faculty investigators and staff in support of funded research pre-award efforts. Oversees and provides leadership in the negotiation and execution of complex Federal research or clinical contracts, to include biomedical and/or human subject research contracts. Directs and coordinates the resolution of award-related administrative and operational issues among internal and external stakeholders.
