The following statements are intended to describe, in broad terms, the general functions and responsibility levels characteristic of positions assigned to this classification. Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President for Facilities and Real Estate Management, directs the planning and administration of the care and upkeep of all physical facilities at the University. Oversees the maintenance, operations, and housekeeping of all facilities and grounds and the utilities system. Assists in the planning and management of the University's capital renewal and replacement budgets as they relate to the support of plant maintenance and improvements. Coordinates with the Director of Planning and Space Management the planning and construction of all new capital improvement projects on the various campuses. Advises the administration on all institutional policies and procedures related to the management of the physical resources of the University.
The University of New Mexico provides all training required by OSHA to ensure employee safety.
