Summary
Oversees day-to-day operations of the University's LoboCard Office, to include coordination of products and services, card production, and systems management. Develops, implements, and oversees the operating policies and procedures for the unit. Plans and implements automated ID and security systems technology and applications. Represents and promotes ID card services to internal and external constituencies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees all facets of the daily operations of the organizational unit, ensuring compliance with the University, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations.
Establishes and maintains operating policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the provision of quality customer service within the office.
Oversees the development, enhancement, and management of supporting database systems, including provisions for system backups, maintenance, database integrity, and data security.
Works with client departments to identify and evaluate specific needs for automated ID and security applications; assists with implementation plans for the migration of hardware and software, installation, and commissioning of services into client operations.
Provides guidance and assistance in the development and implementation of new Lobo Card applications across UNM campuses, as appropriate.
Manages cash, cash-related receipts, accounts receivable and credit and collection functions, ensuring timely processing of billings, payments, and collection of program revenue.
Serves as a primary liaison with software and hardware vendors to ensure quality user experiences, resolution of problems and issues, and compliance with contractual obligations.
Interfaces with existing and potential corporate sponsors of ID card services to stimulate the development of new and/or enhanced services, to augment department revenues, and to foster longer-term business relationships; promotes lobo card services provided by sponsors to students, faculty, and staff.
Participates in the development of annual operating budgets and provides fiscal direction to the unit.
May oversee the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, promotion, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution; evaluates peak performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware and/or software solutions.
Skill in the configuration and use of computerized database programs.
Skill in the configuration, installation, and operation of leading-edge automated ID and security systems.
Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques.
Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
Ability to develop systems solutions for operational problems.
Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Knowledge of budget preparation, cost estimating, monitoring, and fiscal management principles and procedures.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
