Summary

Under general supervision, supports adherence to all operating procedures for the University's policy development process. Coordinates multiple policy development and related projects, as assigned. Efficiently tracks policy revision cycles and supports completion of associated tasks. Maintains and updates website content. Provides administrative support to the department, as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Oversees and maintains multiple University Policy Office databases. Collects and analyzes data, prepares various routine and ad-hoc reports, maintains historical records and statistical information, coordinates database searches, and updates records.
  2. Supports the planning, development, and implementation of critical special projects associated with the maintenance and enhancement of the University's policy web sites and policy manuals.
  3. Participates in the development and refinement of University operating policies and procedures; may make recommendations regarding changes. Applies revisions and modifications, as assigned.
  4. Provides a variety of professional, fiscal, administrative, and/or clerical services in support of departmental activities.
  5. Maintains a broad knowledge of web and internet technology and authoring software pertaining to strategic communication and policy research and development.
  6. Organizes and facilitates meetings and special events; schedules and coordinates dates and times, venues, attendance, agendas, and facilities; takes minutes, and provides administrative support and follow up on matters arising from meetings.
  7. Supports the maintenance, administration, and modification of the University Administrative Policies and Regents' Policies web site; may establish template formats and logical structures for web pages.
  8. Develops recordkeeping procedures, and manages appropriate records and policy documentation in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and standards.
  9. Reviews and ensures accuracy of final policy versions prior to publication.
  10. Compiles and coordinates information for policy owner trainings and review cycles.
  11. Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology and systems to effectively recommend changes, update, and redesign of policy processes.
  12. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
