The following statements are intended to describe, in broad terms, the general functions and responsibility levels characteristic of positions assigned to this classification. They should not be viewed as an exhaustive list of the specific duties and prerequisites applicable to individual positions that have been so classified.
Under indirect supervision, oversees a large, integrated contract/grant funded program consisting of a set of interconnected component activities, and/or a group of associated, separately contract/grant funded programs. Implements work scope, establishes funding, provides program/project planning, budgeting, and administration, and develops related operational policies and procedures. The programs/projects administered are usually focused on an associated set of complementary objectives within an overall mission, may be scientific, research, services, and/or education oriented. Represents program activities at the state- and/or regional-level and maintains responsibility for the appropriate use of programmatic funds within the parameters of the contract(s)/grant(s), typically exceeding $1 million per fiscal year. This is typically a term position tied to the contract/grant funding period, which requires approval by Human Resources Compensation prior to use.
