Summary

Under direct supervision within the classroom or studio environment, assumes and holds various poses, mostly nude, for a specific length of time, as directed by the class instructor. Typically works on an on-call basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assumes and holds various poses for specific lengths of time, as specifically directed by the class instructor.
  2. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Less than high school; no previous experience required.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Ability to assume and hold various artistic poses for specific lengths of time, in accordance with specific instructions.

Conditions of Employment

  • Must be at least 18 years of age at date of hire.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • Work is normally performed nude in a typical artist studio/classroom environment.
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
  • Limited physical effort required, associated with assuming and holding artistic poses.

The University of New Mexico provides all training required by OSHA to ensure employee safety.
