Summary

Directs the integrated administrative and operational support planning and management of a smaller academic branch campus of the University, to include business and fiscal management, human resources, information systems, physical plant/facilities management, and related auxiliary services. Plans, oversees, and coordinates capital and operating expenditures, budgeting, and fiscal systems, and provides leadership and direction in the cost-effective establishment of resources and administrative strategies, policies, and programs for the branch. Serves as a member of the branch senior administrative team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Directs and oversees the planning, development, and administration of all business/commercial activities, programs, auxiliary enterprises, inventory control, and services of the organization.
  2. Manages and coordinates the financial/fiscal operations of the organization, to include the development and administration of capital and/or operating budgets and expenditures, and the establishment and management of financial control systems.
  3. Oversees and coordinates the planning, implementation, and management of all aspects of information systems, technology, system security and database integrity for the organization.
  4. Directs and oversees the daily operations of the Information Technology and Facilities department.
  5. Directs and oversees the management all facility operations and services for the campus;. directs the planning and implementation of construction and capital improvement projects, and provides leadership in overall facilities planning for the organization.
  6. Establishes and implements short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
  7. Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organization's goals and objectives; oversees recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of unit staff.
  8. Develops and manages annual budgets for the organization and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses.
  9. Plans, develops, and implements methods and facilities for enhancing revenue sources and/or generating new revenue sources for the organization.
  10. Coordinates the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports; presents recommendations for programmatic and fiscal changes.
  11. Manages and oversees the establishment and administration of contractual arrangements and leased properties with external vendors, concession operators, and/or suppliers.
  12. Represents the university to various institutional divisions as well as externally to the media, governmental agencies, prospective funding agencies and individuals, prospective vendors, and/or a range of constituencies within the community at large.
  13. Recommends and participates in the development of university policies and procedures; may serve on university planning and policy-making committees.
  14. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
