The following statements are intended to describe, in broad terms, the general functions and responsibility levels characteristic of positions assigned to this classification. Manages and coordinates the day-to-day activities and infrastructure of a specified, centralized medical billing operations group servicing an assigned area of medical practice within the Health Sciences Center. Participates in the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures, as appropriate to the objectives of the unit. Prepares financial and/or operational analyses and reports, and audits current procedures to monitor and improve efficiency of operations. Manages a diverse team of patient accounts staff, including one or more subordinate supervisors.
The University of New Mexico provides all training required by OSHA to ensure employee safety.
